Before we tell you the steps to enable VoLTE on Vi™. We ask you to ensure that your handset has VoLTE support and also, you enabled VoLTE in Settings.
Steps to enable VoLTE on Vi™:

To enjoy Vi™ VoLTE services, you need to:
- Have a VoLTE enabled handset (To know if your handset is Vi™ VoLTE compatible or not, SMS 4G CHECK to 199)
- Ensure that your handset has been upgraded with the latest software provided by your handset manufacturer
- Ensure that you are using a 4G SIM
- Verify that the VoLTE voice calling feature has been enabled on your smartphone
- For iOS: Settings -> Mobile Data -> Mobile Data Options -> Enable 4G ->Voice & Data
- For Android: Settings -> SIM Card & Mobile Networks (or) Mobile networks -> Select the SIM 1 or SIM 2 -> Turn on VoLTE call / Use VoLTE .
*These settings may differ from one handset model to another depending on the handset manufacturer. You may call 198 for any further assistance.
Working Method:
If the above method doesn’t help you enable VoLTE on your Handset, Please follow the below step which will help you much better.
- Call to Vi™ Customer Care 198 or 199 (Which takes much time to select the options and get into contact with Customer Support Executive)
- Write a mail to Vi™ Customer Support at customercare@vodafoneidea.com.
- Mail Format:
- My Vi Number is (your 10 digit mobile number). VoLTE is currently not working on my number irrespective of using a 4G VoLTE Enabled Phone (your handset model) and having settings to 4G and VoLTE is enabled in phone settings. Kindly please check with your systems and activate VoLTE on my number.
- (Optional) Please mention, if you have ported your network from others (Network Provider – Airtel, Jio) to Vi™.
- Mail Format:
You would get acknowledgement in few mins to your mail and also, VoLTE will be enabled within 4 hours or will take maximum of 1 day to get enabled. You will receive call from Customer Support Executive, once after the request is initiated. Also, you will get one more call from Customer Support Team after VoLTE is activated to close your support ticket.
